Life is Precious

Continued from the March Beat PD Today Newsletter........................

Be Confident. That can be a very difficult task for many people. But I want to say it doesn't have to be. We all have strengths and weaknesses, no matter who we are. You may think your strengths aren't "big enough" or important, or worth anything. You look at smart and successful doctors, lawyers, engineers, politicians and say they have confidence and they have better strengths than you do. Not true at all! They just fake it better, seriously, it's true. It is an act, it is pretending. We are all human and have insecurities. You just have to focus on your strengths and what you are good at, and display those strengths to the world. Think you are great, think you can be a positive influence on others, think you can make a difference in someone's life today. Your mind has the power to do

this if you make it. Try it for one day. Think of your strength, promote it, act confident and pretend you are the best. See what happens and let me know.

Be Positive. This is my life mantra. No matter what the situation, you must keep a good attitude. You must keep the good energy in you, and get the bad out. Keep the positive people near you and the negative at a distance. Change your fixed mindset to a growth mindset. I do understand this is easier said than done. I have days where I just cry and say,"I feel awful, I can't move like I want to, this stinks, and I have to deal with this the rest of my life!" But, does that help anything or anybody? No, but accepting reality and venting is ok. Then you must turn around and fight it head on. Come to a Beat PD class, even if you don't have PD. Come see and watch and talk to people in the class. They are all positive. They are surrounded by positivity, which is infectious, and eventually everyone feels better physically and mentally. The law of

attraction says you will attract what you give out. If you throw out negative comments, body language, thoughts, gossip, complaints then guess what? That is what you will get back. So let's all try to exude positive energy, think it, feel it and do it. Believe in your gut, in your heart, that you are awesome and you will be fine. My favorite new quote is, "It's all going to work out for me." And I Believe it will.

Life is precious. Why live it worrying, complaining, feeling sick, and on and on. I try my best to be present, be confident and be positive. I continue to work on all three and I ask you to join me in this challenge. Life is short, let's live it the best we can.
